Beware! Indian Online Job Offers May Be Spy Traps, PTA Issues Warning

ISLAMABAD: 07.10.2025: Law enforcement agencies have alerted the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) about foreign intelligence operatives using fake online job offers to collect sensitive information on Pakistan’s critical installations.
These hostile actors, reportedly linked to India, are creating fraudulent websites and fake companies to lure Pakistani youth with attractive salaries. Platforms like LinkedIn and JobGulf are being exploited to gather photos and locations of key national institutions.
In response, the PTA has launched a nationwide awareness campaign warning young people about these espionage tactics. Pre-recorded messages caution against sharing any information or images that could compromise national security.
The authorities urged citizens to stay vigilant and avoid falling victim to such online traps aimed at undermining Pakistan’s security.
