RAWALPINDI: 07.10.2025: Pakistan Army spokesperson Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that India failed to down any Pakistani aircraft during the Maarka-e-Haq operation.

In an interview with Bloomberg, he said that Pakistan relies on effective military strategy, combining indigenous and foreign technology, including Chinese systems which have recently performed well.

General Chaudhry stressed Pakistan is not part of an arms race with India, noting the country’s defense budget is much smaller. He added that Pakistan is open to acquiring technology from any source but remains transparent with its defense data.

The statement followed recent remarks by former US President Donald Trump, who confirmed that seven Indian jets, including Rafales, were downed during the standoff, some reportedly by Pakistan’s Chinese-made J-10C fighters.

Pakistan continues to expand its capabilities, recently adding the Chinese Z-10ME attack helicopter to its arsenal, alongside existing US-made F-16s.
