JHELUM: 09.10.2025: A major accident was averted when one bogie of the Islamabad Express, enroute from Rawalpindi to Lahore, derailed near Sohawa.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported. However, the incident caused significant disruption to railway traffic, forcing multiple trains to halt.
Railway authorities suspended operations on the affected track section and launched a rescue and clearance operation using heavy machinery to restore traffic flow.
