Islamabad: 5 September 2023: Several hours after IHC suspended his incarceration under the MPO, Parvez Elahi was detained once more
PTI On Tuesday, hours after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered his release and postponed his custody under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO), President Parvez Elahi was once more detained.
With today's arrest, the PTI president has now been detained again ten times. According to the Islamabad police, Elahi was detained in connection with a case that was reported to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police station."I believe that all boundaries have been crossed," Elahi's attorney Sardar Abdul Raziq Khan stated.
This is unfair to the nation and its institutions and is the legal equivalent of disgracing the law and the Constitution.As soon as he and Elahi were in their car outside, the attorney remarked.
