Shikarpur: Jaffar express derails after blast, four injured

SHIKARPUR: 07.10.2025: A powerful explosion at Sultan Kot near Shikarpur caused five bogies of the Jaffar Express to derail while traveling from Peshawar to Quetta on Tuesday. Security sources confirmed four passengers were injured in the blast.
The Pakistan Railways spokesperson stated that rescue teams have been dispatched to the site. Panic has been spread in the area, whereas train traffic has been temporarily suspended.
This incident followed a similar blast on September 23, which derailed five coaches of the same train between Digari Cross and Saryab Railway Stations, just kilometers from Quetta. The Jaffar Express had been suspended for several days following that attack.
