ISLAMABAD: 06, NOVEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus infections tally in the country has mounted to 1,275,158 on Saturday after more cases were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 567 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 1.2 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 471,497 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 440,918, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 178,512, in Balochistan 33,325 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 107,103, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,393 while 34,492 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,518 deaths so far, after 11 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,943 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,582 in Sindh, 5,765 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 357 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 944 deaths and AJK recorded 741 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 21,057,966, corona tests and 46,918 in last 24 hours and 1,224,870 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 450,861 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 420,171 in Punjab, 171,265 in KP, 32,845 in Balochistan, 105,851 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,176 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,701 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,236 patients are in critical condition.
