MUMBAI: 15.04.2025: Bollywood icon Sushmita Sen has voiced strong support for Fawad Khan's return to the Indian film industry, amid political backlash over the 2016 ban on Pakistani artists.
Speaking at a fashion event in Mumbai, Sushmita remarked, "Talent and creativity are not bound by borders," emphasizing the importance of artistic freedom.
When asked if she'd star in a Pakistani film, she responded, "I will always do a good film, no matter where it comes from." Her comments were met with widespread applause from fans in both India and Pakistan.
Fawad Khan's much-anticipated film Abir Gulaal, co-starring Vaani Kapoor, is set for a May 9 release, despite objections from some Indian political groups.
