GUWAHATI: 08.10.2025: Heather Knight’s unbeaten 79 helped England clinch a thrilling four-wicket victory over Bangladesh in their ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 match at Barsapara Stadium.
Chasing 179, England struggled early but Knight’s steady innings, supported by Charlie Dean’s 27*, guided the team home with 23 balls remaining.
Bangladesh posted 178, led by Sobhana Mostary’s 60 and Rabeya Khan’s late 43*. Sophie Ecclestone spearheaded England’s bowling with 3/24.
With this win, England now leads the tournament table with four points, edging India on net run rate after both teams won their first two games.
