LAHORE: 07.10.2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed its umpire and match referee panels for the 2025-26 cricket season, showcasing a blend of seasoned officials and rising talent across both men’s and women’s cricket.
Leading the ICC International Panel of Match Officials is Ali Naqvi, who will serve as a match referee. The panel also includes umpires Asif Yaqoob (Islamabad), Faisal Khan Afridi (Sargodha), Rashid Riaz Waqar (Lahore), and Saleema Imtiaz (Karachi). These officials are now eligible to officiate in international matches under ICC jurisdiction.
On the national level, the PCB named ten match referees to the National Elite Panel, including Aleem Khan Musa, Athar Laik, Bilal Moinul Haq Khilji, Iftikhar Ahmed, Kamran Chaudhry, Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Iqbal Sheikh, Nadeem Arshad, Sohail Idris, and Ali Naqvi.
The National Elite Panel of Umpires features 18 members such as Abdul Muqit, Ali Haider, Asif Yaqoob, Farooq Ali Khan, Faisal Khan Afridi, Ghulam Sarwar, Imran Javed, and Rashid Riaz Waqar among others.
Additionally, the PCB has established supplementary panels to support officiating development. The Supplementary I Panel of Umpires comprises 14 members including Asif Farooq Awan and Hassan Mahmood. The Supplementary II Panel has 24 umpires promoted from the Emerging Panel, with names like Noorul Hakam and Maqbool Ahmed. The Supplementary Panel of Match Referees includes 10 officials such as Abul Hasnat Rao and Ali Gohar.
To nurture new talent, a 40-member Emerging Panel of umpires has been created, featuring officials such as Aamir Atta, Abdul Basit, Abrar Ahmed, and Wasimuddin.
For women’s cricket, the PCB Women’s Panel consists of 13 umpires from cities including Karachi, Kasur, Lahore, and Muzaffarabad. Notable members are Aafia Amin, Salima Imtiaz, Fakhra Kazim Syeda, Sania Ashraf, and Zakia Gul.
This comprehensive selection aims to strengthen cricket officiating standards across all levels in Pakistan for the upcoming season.
