RAWALPINDI: 25 October 2023: A national carrier's spokesman has stated that Pakistan International Airlines is on the verge of shutting down after canceling over 300 flights in the last 10 days owing to a fuel shortage and financial difficulties.

Because to Pakistan State Oil's (PSO) decision to stop supplying fuel due to unpaid debt, the airline is possibly facing its biggest crisis ever. Since October 14, the airline has been forced to cancel 322 flights, 134 of which were on international routes, due to the shift.


There were 51 cancelled flights on Tuesday, including 27 on domestic routes, the official said.Numerous airline cancellations have resulted in thousands of travelers experiencing hardship. They are forced to search for an alternative departure schedule for their flights because the airline administration has not been able to provide one for seats on other airlines.
