SA Team Lands in Lahore; Two-Test Series to Begin from Oct 12

LAHORE: 08.10.2025: The first group of the South African cricket team arrived in Lahore last night for a two-Test series against Pakistan. The second group is expected within hours. The team was escorted to a hotel under tight security.
The Test matches are scheduled from October 12–16 in Lahore and October 20–24 in Rawalpindi. South Africa, the reigning ICC World Test Championship titleholders, begin their title defense with this tour.
Pakistan has reduced its Test squad from 18 to 16, releasing pacer Amir Jamal and spinner Faisal Akram, according to sources.
The tour will continue with three T20Is and three ODIs from October 28 to November 8. The white-ball squad will be announced later.
