KAZAN: 30 Sep 2023: Supporting Pakistan's worries, a consultative gathering of Afghanistan's neighbors and other regional powers, including China and India, encouraged the Taliban administration to stop the nation from becoming "a hotspot for terrorism and instability."The demand was made in a statement released following the conclusion of the fifth meeting of the Moscow Format Consultations on Afghanistan, which was held in the Russian city of Kazan and included special representatives and senior officials from China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
Amir Khan Muttaqi, the foreign minister of Afghanistan, also attended the conference. Guests of honor included ambassadors from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey.The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement in which Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties noted with concern the difficult security situation in Afghanistan due to the intensification of the activities of terrorist groups, primarily Daesh. While appreciating the current Afghan authorities for their serious fight against Daesh, the participants urged them to do the same against all terrorist groups.
