New York: 7 May 2024: At last, the Met Gala 2024 red carpet has begun, as celebrities are dashing into the event with their personal takes on the "Garden of time" theme. Kendall Jenner appeared at the event wearing an archival Givenchy ensemble from the Haute Couture 1999 collection, while co-host Zendaya showcased a recreated look from Christian Dior's 1999 collection by John Galliano.

At the 2024 Met Gala, Alia Bhatt donned a mint green Sabyasachi sari that she had custom-designed. Bhatt's sari, which was designed by her longtime stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania, had a 23-foot train in honor of the theme, "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion," and was adorned with genuine diamonds. Bhatt made her runway debut in Prabal Gurung couture at the 2023 Met Gala.

The topic of the occasion was "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," which she wore accordingly. Her gown was white and covered in more than a hundred thousand pearls. Indian artisans worked on the elaborate embroidery on her robe.
